This was the press demo in 1995, the 7th ever made.
MOTOR had a test article in 1995 with the theme: Design Piece (designer: Philippe Starck) or still a motorcycle? Toured for 14 days with the five-valve: a fine machine, good drive.
More than 25 years later we come across this frame number 007 again, with 51,922 km.
Another story written in Motor Revue with the theme: No garden chair but a motorcycle. Such thoughts fit with such a typical design motorcycle. It’s not for nothing that one is in the Guggenheim Museum of Modern Art.
The Rotax technique sounds 'mechanical' but doesn’t break down easily. Meanwhile, this has been proven.
The first owner had a Dynojet kit installed in the past, but it continues to run 'rich' on longer rides (from experience, it seems to be part of the package).
The main jet might be slightly too big.
Otherwise the bike drives, brakes and shifts well.
It is well kept and completely original, even the optional windshield and the rear rack.
It is in the 'correct' colour for the design: orange/grey.
