Size: 165 x 110 mm. This edition was originally published on the occasion of the exhibition Master of Light: Robby Muller at EYE, Amsterdam, June 4 - September 4, 2016. Müller often brought Polaroid to some moments between his works on set, such as studies of light and composition, or during his walks in the city, in his hotel rooms or in urban landscapes. He would search for lines in the typical Polaroid square format and find movement in light through the interaction of reflections and shadows. There is therefore a clear line to be drawn between the Polaroids and the films made by Muller, with him establishing here the pictorial paintings through the instant medium of Polaroid. These still moments and compositions show Müller’s active mind and eye. Polaroid is a beautiful set of two small-format volumes: one book is themed External, the other themed Interior.
