Although Sadiq Muhammad Khan V was successful in 1907, he was only three years old at the time. On 1 October 1922, on the occasion of his eighteenth birthday, he was granted limited administrative powers, and on 1 April 1923 he became chairman of the Regency Council. On March 8, 1924, he was given full government power.
Bahawalpur (Punjabi: بہاولپور) was a Muslim princely state in southern Punjab, in what is now Pakistan. It was founded in 1690 by Bahadur Khan II. Abbasi and at the beginning of the 19th century gained independence.
