The Battle of Crete was the first occasion where Fallschirmjäger (German paratroops) were used en masse, the first mainly airborne invasion in military history, and the first time German troops encountered mass resistance from a civilian population.
Condition: Very good. Small ex-libris sticker on first blank page. Contemporary newspaper cut-out of the Mediterranean glued to last blank page (see photos). Inside flawless. Binding good and tight, with clean and square pages. Great print quality. A well-preserved copy.
