Sawankhalok Box in ceramic measuring 9 cm high by 9.5 cm of diameter, classical model for this type of ceramics. CAUTION: the lid does not seem to correspond to the lower part, fair condition for an object from this period, but it bears the traces of its age, there is a lack (have a look at the pictures).
Sawankhalok is a district in northern Thailand. This region is known for its ceramics which have flourished during the 15th and 16th centuries, period during which hundreds of ovens produced ceramics that were exported throughout southeast Asia.
