The Chofa are architectural ornaments decorating the roofs of temples in some countries of Southeast Asia. This one comes from Thailand and has the unusual form of a stylised elephant.
It still presents traces of polychromy, this item presents very pure graphism and is very decorative.
The stand is included in the sale.
Good overall condition, but it bears the traces of its age and use, the bottom of the “trunk” may have been restored, have a look at the pictures.
It was imported from Thailand at the early 1980s.
